Policy and procedures for using the CWU TLS facility

We welcome faculty and students at Central Washington University who are interested in using TLS in their research. If you think TLS could be useful for you, here’s what you should do:

  • Contact Anne Egger (annegger@geology.cwu.edu 509-963-2870).
  • To use the TLS, you must either complete the four-day training session (offered periodically) or bring an engineer into the field with you. We will discuss options based on your project.
  • Although the scanner can be used at no cost (for CWU faculty, staff, and students), you may need to pay field expenses if your project requires a field engineer.

Important Documents

  • Checklist for equipment that should go out and come back from the field.
  • Instructions for working with the battery boxes — including shipping, setup and charging.
