Brittany Fagin (BS Geology, 2012; MS Geology, 2015)

Interpretive Ranger/Instructor at Mt St Helens, Washington

For six months out of the year, I am a seasonal interpretive ranger at Mount St. Helens. I inform the public about the geological and emotional stories associated with the volcano at Johnston Ridge Observatory.

For the other six months, I am an adjunct community college instructor (at Centralia College East). I teach a science elective (i.e. Geology 101, Environmental Science) for degree-seeking students in the winter quarter.

Also, I teach multiple geology courses for the community (i.e. roadside geology, coastal geology, natural hazards), focusing on the local and regional geology observed in the Morton to Packwood areas.
