Jackie Langille (MS in Geology, 2008)

Graduate Student at the University of Tennessee

I have just finished my first year of my PhD at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. It has been really exciting so far. My research focuses on quantifying orogen-parallel extension across the Himalayas related to the Ama Drime massif about 50 km north of Mount Everest and the Leo Pargil dome in northwest India. I have recently finished my first summer of field work in the Indian Himalayas and it was an awesome experience.

I have also attached a new picture from my India trip! I hope all is well at CWU. I miss the department dearly. Let everyone know that I say hello!
