DOE Undergraduate Summer Programs
There are several DOE-sponsored fellowships available for
undergraduates, including the Energy Research Undergraduate
Laboratory Fellowship (ERULF), Community College Initiative (CCI)
and the Pre-Service Teacher (PST) programs.

Geoscientists in National Parks [GIP Program]
The National Park Service is looking for experienced earth
science professionals and students to work with park staffs to
help them understand and manage the resources t hrough examining
the geology, water, air, and integrated sciences. The work varies
greatly from park to park and may be broad or specific in
scope.
The appointments are offered for time spans ranging from 2 to 6
months. They are focused at either heavy or light visitation
times, depending on the type of job. Most positions offer, at a
minimum, housing or camper hook-up sites and a nominal stipend.
Some positions are available as seasonal or temporary positions,
offering a salary, sick leave, and vacation time.
Most parks identify their GIP needs by October of each year and
most GIP positions are announced November through March each
