What changes could be made to improve learning in this course?

  • Maybe put your slide show online or talk slower.
  • I wouldn't change anything.
  • Slow down there Charlie WE we got an hour.
  • Nothing.
  • Slow down when showing the material on powerpoint.
  • Field trips. Lectures' every day get boring.
  • Slow down when explaining slides.
  • There is just too much here for a 101 class. I think some 300 level classes are not as detailed as this.
  • You talked and taught at a real fast pase. Sometimes hard to follow. When you talk and we have to write its kind hard to follow both maybe give time to write and then talk. Over all I think this class was pretty good.
  • None!
  • He often times went to fast, however he noticed this and slowed down when needed.
  • Slow down! Otherwise great course! J
  • Maybe if we had more study sessions and that he talked a little slower.
  • Slow down when going over slides. It takes time to write down the information and listen to the explanations at the same time.
  • More study sessions w/the prof.
  • N/A
  • There was so much material that I feel overwhelmed by the whole course. I feel frustrated because of that and I am not sure how well many of my fellow students are doing.
  • Not much.
  • Maybe more quizzes should happen because when people are forced to study for a quiz they learn the material more effectively.
  • Since you are a earthquake expert I would have liked to have learned more about that.
  • Rubin talks way to fast. You don't have time to listen to what heÕs saying because you're trying to write as fast as you can.
  • Rubin talks a little to fast, needs more class involvement, let some assignments sneak up.
  • Maybe on tests only have one right answer. Not one that is more correct than another answer.
  • None that I can think of.
  • The quizzes were too difficult. They're just quizzes! Slow down a little bit.
