Brittney Clerget (BA Earth Science, 2014)

Middle School Science Teacher in Federal Way, Washington

I finished my degree in Earth Science Teaching and Middle Level Math and Science in June 2014. I got a job 3 weeks after school got out teaching Math and Earth block in a 7th grade classroom at Lakota Middle School in Federal Way.

I'm truly grateful for the professors and all the helpful instruction they gave me to advance my own education. I definitely will miss the labs we did around Ellensburg and in the canyon, even the camaraderie of my fellow peers in the department. Those days of collaboration made labs all that much better. I'll always remember the Geology department every time I look at the rocks on my desks from trips and even from GEOL 210 in Bishop.

To those that are thinking about Geology at Central, you can't go wrong. It's a place of friendship and education . Someone once said "A geologist is a fault-finder", but you truly can't find any faults in this program!
