Thomas Olson (BA Earth Science, 2014)

I graduated in June, 2014 with a BA in Earth Science Teaching and Middle Level Math & Science. After graduation I was hired within a month by the Auburn School District to teach 6th Grade Science at Rainier Middle School.

I will be teaching Force and Motion, Earth Systems, and Ecosystems. The school even offers a program for their middle students to get high school geology credit! Hopefully I will be teaching that in the future to share the wonders of geology.

I greatly enjoyed my time at CWU Geology with my fellow students and the excellent teachers of the department. It was a challenge that really built on my education. I will always remember my time in Lind Hall and all the amazing field trips we went on!
