Trevor Johnson (BS Environmental Geology, 2019)
Engineering Geologist in Pasco, Washington
After graduating from CWU in June of 2019, I started working at Earth Solutions NW part time as a geotechnical field technician for 4 months. Shortly after, I was hired full-time by a small geotechnical/environmental engineering firm called White Shield in Pasco, Washington as an engineering geologist.
My day-to-day responsibilities involves site visits, field reports, and researching local geology. I work alongside civil engineers, surveyors, and other geologists to design earthwork proposals, recommendations, and hazard mitigation strategies for construction projects in Eastern Washington. At times, we have work that extends to Idaho and Oregon.
I'd like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the passionate professors and faculty with the CWU Geology Department. I wish future students the best moving forward, and remember to enjoy the journey as I did!
