Ben Jones (BS in Geology, 2011)

Sand & Gravel Plant Operator in Black Diamond, Washington

After graduating, I started working for Horizon Well Logging in Southern California where I spent a year and a half analyzing drill cuttings and core samples on exploratory oil wells.

I returned to Washington where I began working as an Environmental Geologist/Building Inspector for OSG on the 520 project in Bellevue where my primary job was testing concrete and quality assurance inspection on all types of structures, as well as nuclear density testing on backfill and asphalt paving.

I soon took a job with Cadman Building Materials in the Qc lab and soon after moved into my current position as Plant Operator where I operate a multi stage washplant and omni cone crusher in Black Diamond. We are mining glacial deposits for sand and gravel.
