PhD Student in Zurich, Switzerland
I am a PhD student in glaciology at ETH-Zurich.
My current research focus on the erosion of subglacial and periglacial sediment in the Swiss Alps on hourly to decadal time-scales. Sediment erosion rates are thought to have increased substantially with glacier retreat, which causes problems for downstream communities. This work requires implementing a variety of remote sensing and field observations, along with numerical modeling techniques.
It has been a wild ride and lots of fun. However, I would undoubtedly be doing something much different if it was not for the skills I learned at CWU.
