Jon Hoekendorf (BA Earth Science, 2003)

I currently live in Marysville, Washington with my beautiful wife Rebecca and my son Jon Jr (JJ). I'm working as a longshoreman for the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local #32 in Everett, Wa. I left college to become a middle school science teacher in the Sumner School District. After two years of teaching middle school science, a union job on the docks became available and I made my career switch. I enjoyed teaching a lot, but I really love my new job.

I miss working in the field of science and I often think of the fun I had at CWU. Joining the CWU Geology was the best decision that I made in college.
