Martyne Smith Kieling (BS Geology, 1991)
Environmental Geologist in Santa Fe, New Mexico
I started working for the State of New Mexico in the Environment Department soon after I gained my MS degree from New Mexico State University. I initially worked as an Environmental Specialist for about three years at the DOE Oversight Bureau on projects related to corrective action and surveillance activities of Los Alamos and Sandia National Laboratories. Then moved on to the Oil Conservation Division as a Geologist within the State to conduct permitting and inspections for the oil/gas industry.
