Katie Johnston (MS Geology, 2013)

After graduating with my MS in Geology from Central Washington University, I accepted an internship in Alaska with the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center during the winter of 2013-2014. This internship gave me the opportunity to produce daily snowpack and weather observations, as well as instruct avalanche education courses. I will continue to pursue my career in snow and avalanche safety in future winter seasons.
