Jacob Leonard (BS Geology, 2016)

After graduating from CWU, I took the summer off to go and climb as much as I could. In the Fall, some friends of mine had started building a rock climbing gym in Wenatchee. They were looking for help with construction so I took them up on their offer.

I worked on the gym until it was completed in early 2017. My role evolved at the gym and I am now the general manager. Working at the gym is fun and always keeps me on my toes.

I still continue to climb as often as possible. Geology has given me a unique view on the places that I travel to.

Ellensburg is a great place to live and I truly enjoyed my time at CWU. Good friends and amazing professors are what made my CWU experience. I have plans to one day use my degree in the workforce or even perhaps head back to get my Masters degree.
