Dallin Jenson (MS Geology, 2017)
Hydrogeologist in Manchester, New Hampshire
I chose CWU because of the warm community feel combined with excellent academic opportunities. It is a place where teaching is really the passion of both the professors and instructors, something which sadly isn't the case at many institutions.
I was given the opportunities to feel I really mattered, and to truly stand out in the local geologic community. This rare level of personalized support led to paid internships, and the ability to gain award winning recognition in Washington state. I also had access to learn about some of the most exciting work being done in geology through research opportunities and esteemed guest lecturers.
Today, I find doors opened to me wider than I had ever imagined possible. A year after graduating I have fulfilled the long held dream of being a hydrogeologist. I cannot give any formative professional experience higher esteem than my time at CWU.
