Sunshine Klewin Arkell (BS in Environmental Geology, 2016)

I work for Washington State Department of Natural Resources as a Fire Control Forester. I supervise wildland fire suppression crews during the spring, summer and fall months. I also help the foresters during the winter with burning, tree painting and timber sales.

I would love to work in geology! I'm very interested in water and soil, especially where it pertains to erosion. I am still looking for the perfect job for me here in Okanogan County but I do enjoy wildland firefighting.
