Graduate students heading on to Ph.D. studies

Graduate students Caitlin Orem, Holly Rotman and Tina Dura will be continuing their studies next fall in Ph.D. programs in the Southwest and on the East Coast.

Caitlin has been accepted to the PhD program in the Department of Geosciences at the University of Arizona. She will be working with Dr. Jon Pelletier on multidisciplinary geomorphologic questions and will be modeling surficial processes.

Holly has accepted an offer to the Ph.D. in Geophysics program at New Mexico Tech. She will be working with Drs. Susan Bilek and Glenn Spinelli to better understand the temperatures at which large subduction zone earthquakes occur.

Tina has accepted an offer to join the PhD program in Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She was awarded a four-year Benjamin Franklin Fellowship and will be working in the sea-level research laboratory under Dr. Benjamin Horton.
