Sarah Nagorsen receives Honorable Mention for Best Paper at GSA Meeting
Congratulations to Sarah Nagorsen for receiving an Honorable Mention for the Best Paper award for her talk at the 2010 GSA Meeting. Sarah presented her work on Fault kinematics in the Western Mina Deflection: field studies in the Adobe Hills, California.

Her findings were based on field mapping in the Adobe Hills, California-Nevada as part of her MS thesis research on "Pliocene sinistral slip across the Mina deflection, California-Nevada" under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Lee. For her thesis, Sarah mapped nearly an entire 7.5' quadrangle and has submitted her compiled geologic map and cross-section to the US Geological Survey for review.
