Moriah Kauer Honored as University Distinguished Employee

Alpine Lakes Wilderness

Moriah Kauer, our department fiscal specialist, was honored last year as the University Distinguished Employee. Moriah is the glue that keeps the department together. From fixing the xerox machine to managing the complexity of purchasing a mass spectrometer for our beautiful new building, Moriah does her job with efficiency, humor, and patience.

Former department chair, Carey Gazis wrote in Moriah's nomination letter:

I like to joke that I can ask her to do something while I am in her office and it will be done by the time I walk up the stairs and get to my office.

In addition to her efficiency and organization, Moriah has two other traits that make her an ideal employee: she is professional and also pleasant to be around.

Congratulations Moriah, and many thanks for all you do for us!
