Dr Kaspari Selected as Fulbright U.S. Scholar

Susan Kaspari was selected to be a Fulbright U.S. Scholar for 2022-2023, during which time she will spend her sabbatical in Tromsø, Norway working on her project Norwegian Arctic Light Absorbing Particles in Snow and Teaching Climate Change and Sustainability.

During this time Susan plans to expand her research into the Arctic, enhance her teaching effectiveness, and expand her field of competency related to sustainability. She will be associated with the Norwegian Polar Institute, and has also received funding through the Research Council of Norway to support fieldwork on Svalbard.

While in Norway, Susan will also be affiliated with the Arctic University of Norway, the northernmost university in the world. There she will teach a climate change module in a course, co-mentor a graduate student, and run sustainability in the curriculum workshops. Susan’s family will also be going to Norway, where her children will attend school.
